Hannah Burns, LMSW

I am a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Michigan with over 4 years of clinical experience. I received my undergraduate degree in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in 2017 and my Masters of Social Work also from the University of Michigan in 2018. I have worked in settings that have allowed me to target mental health within adolescents, adults and families in both a partial hospitalization setting as well as in the juvenile justice system. I work to help clients improve their management of stressors, identify and develop healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation strategies, establish and build healthy relationships, process current and past traumatic events and combat irrational and negative thought processes so as to ultimately create a fulfilling and satisfying lifestyle.

I work together with my resilient clients to create a person-centered approach with a trauma informed lens of practice to target treatment goals. I utilize cognitive and dialectical behavioral techniques in combination with mindfulness and somato-sensory based strategies to meet the client where they are and assist with overall emotional, mental and physical growth.
